I’ve been working on an article about how to evaluate different packrafts when you’re shopping around online. It started out as a blog post, but it ended up being quite long and detailed (over 4000 words!), and I think it will remain useful indefinitely, so I decided to post it in the FAQ here.
I don’t want to step on any toes, so in the article I avoid delving into the details of every packraft model from every brand – instead, it’s more of a guide to the many features that I think are important in a packraft, and I offer my advice for how to compare them, especially when you can’t go out and paddle them all before you make a decision about which one to purchase.
I’ll continue updating the article in the future, and I welcome your comments if there’s something you think I’ve overlooked or gotten wrong.
Here it is: How to Choose a Packraft (not just DIY)
