🤔 Not sure about this. You would loose the breathability of the goretex and it would be very damp.

I bought a piece of underlayment from a local hardware store. Basically a 1/4″ x 4’x 4′ piece of plywood which has a smooth finish on one side. I plop that on top of a plastic folding table. Works well enough that I’ll use it for my second packraft.

Tesla42 started the topic Degradation of ether TPU in the forum DIY Packrafts 1 year, 11 months ago
Hi, I have a problem with degradation of ether TPU. I thought only ester TPU will degrade if stored in wet condition. Now it happened to clear transparent ether TPU. It started to develop some mold, resulting in cracks and holes.
Did anyone else notice this effect?
Is it only bad quality ether TPU or maybe fake?

Exactly Alpo. Better speed and tracking is my target, and hoping to achieve that, without using any rigid parts. http://www.cubenmaker.com/?2
& Kayacat gave a lot of ideas but with rigid skeleton, which I would like to avoid. But first I have to weld the pontoons 🙂

I might have exaggerated the edge shape. you can see the effect in real life in some Thermarest Neoair photos. In your use, the large side pontoons will be more rigid than the mattress and will force the edge to be straight. So I don’t think you need to make changes to the original plan. More baffles and curved edge would just mean more work (and…[Read more]
