Haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve read that you can mix ceramic pigment with seamgrip. Would certainly be durable! Comes in a powder, available from your local ceramic/pottery supply store.

Hmm, yeah, I would apply some Seam Grip+WP or Aquaseal over these areas to prevent it from getting any worse. After a week on the river and going over a few rapids, it seems that tread on my water shoes was rubbing on the edge of a seam strip in the front. The fabric has started to separate from the TPU and is fraying. It doesn’t leak at all so it’s definitely still sealed. Would the best way to go about fixing this be just a lot of seam sealer?

Hello, I just finished putting together my V3 kit that I got for my birthday a couple years ago and I’d like to stencil a name on the side of the raft. Does anyone know of a good type of paint that will have good adhesion to the TPU?

Just a note regarding the seats, for anyone considering a DIY Packraft build: I’ve totally redesigned the seats for 2021 so they’re much easier/faster to assemble and much less likely to develop leaks.

I started building a Skeena back in April 2020 and finished it in June for this trip to the Bob Marshall Wilderness in Montana in August.
Here it is next to a few Alpacka Classics.
Some thoughts on the build –
