I’m curious what anyone has encountered for repairs or biggest repairs in the field. I’m expecting small leaks due to imperfect construction, but are there serious fails anyone has encountered in the field? Like a massive tear, a full seam bursting, things like that? I don’t know why, but for some reason I can imagine a weak point on a seam (maybe it stems from my less than clean 2R-3R initial sealing), and then all of a sudden the entire seam bursting while in the middle of a glacial alpine lake. Should a major fail occur, I guess the whole packraft can be deflated in a split second. Now, don’t get me wrong, I feel like these packraft materials are professional grade, but I’m hoping to learn – and prepare for – any eventualities.
