    I was thinking of using 420d double sided fabric for the first 5 cm of the seam strips. This way it would be possible to just follow the fabric of the side tubes for bonding to the floor and avoiding the sharp bend  (these are in my opinion the weakest points in the packrafts) in the seam strips. This would however only be possible to do by using hot air.

    any thoughts?

      Hi Naas, I can’t see any reason why that wouldn’t work, so if you give it a go please let us know how you like it compared to the regular method.
