Just double checking that you are in north America?
The second two links (with the better cords) only seem to come with uk/euro plugs
and suggest that when operating at 110v the temperature range is max 130deg Celsius.Do you think these are the same as your unit?

I don’t have a sewing machine, so I’m inclined to try Bruce’s tie-downs – I saw your test video @brucecampbell and the strength vs. weight is very impressive! Thanks for posting. (I’m in the middle of moving house, so haven’t posted your report yet.)

@brucecampbell Hi Bruce,
The 210D fabric offered here is 8.25 oz (about 4 oz before coating). Doubled up, it would be much stronger than a painted 8 oz fabric because unlike paint, the TPU adds quite a bit of strength.
