Thanks for the answer. It is not at all late. It is a winter project, moving very slowly. The main use of the inflatable mattress, won’t be as a mattress 😉. It will join two inflatable pontoons of a small inflatable catamaran, I intend to make. Just cut the tpu nylon for the pontoons. I want to make something similar and use it similarly, as the inflatable seat of the anfibio omega c2 , from I got the idea. As you can see at the photos , there is not any baffles bulging. Is it, because the sides didn’t cut straight, as in my photo? To avoid any baffle bulging should I cut the sides as the , down dotted side at my new drawing, you can see below? To avoid ballooning as much as possible and be closer at the desired width of 40-45cm, I also increased baffles number and reduced width, as you can see.
At the following, links I understand that alpackaraft, advice no more than 2.5 psi. Fabric and construction similar to any DIY project. So why not exceeding 1 psi, to 2psi or more if I can carry a small pump and achieve a stiffer and better responding packraft? Is it a matter of the heat welding seams or fabric?
Thanks Apo from your out of the box Idea. But I am afraid to try it, I think not even helaplast glue, will hold fittings you suggested onto the fabric.
Nearly Exactly , crossbraces prevent also the outward forces. I add dyneema rope to distribute outward forces from only the cross braces, but it wasn’t enough. If I can think of a way to insert not permanently welded , aluminium tubing, instead of dyneema rope, it will be a good alternative. Thanks for the idea
