Description
All DIY Packraft fabrics are custom made and coated with heat sealable, airtight TPU on one or both sides. Most (usually all) fabrics included in the sample pack are only available as part of a DIY Packraft kit and will not be sold in bulk.

Swatch sizes are approximately 5 x 18 cm (2 x 7″) for the lighter fabrics and 5 x 8 cm (2 x 3″) for heavy fabrics.
The above video shows destructive testing of some of the DIY Packraft fabrics to demonstrate their resistance to tears and punctures. This video is current as of April 2024, but fabrics may be discontinued or replaced with similar fabrics in the future.
A fabric sample pack is useful if:
- You’re not sure which fabric you want to choose for your DIY Packraft
- You would like to try working with heat sealable fabrics before purchasing a DIY Packraft kit
- You want to compare the DIY Packraft fabrics to fabrics sold elsewhere
Sample packs include a small sample of each fabric currently used in the DIY Packraft shop. Note that fabrics may be discontinued at any time or replaced with similar fabrics from different suppliers without notice, so inclusion in the sample pack is no guarantee that a given fabric will be available if you decide to order at a later date.

Note: “GSM” = grams per square meter; “oz” = ounces per square yard.
