These plastic G hooks are great for things like thigh straps and anything else that you want to be easily removable and adjustable with one hand. Hook them into webbing loops or Type 1 attachment points.
I prefer to use plastic fittings on my packrafts because they’re lightweight, don’t corrode, have no sharp edges, and they’re more than strong enough (I tested several to the point of destruction).
These G hooks are designed to fit 25 mm or 1 inch webbing, but you can also make your own straps out of the scrap packraft floor fabric that comes with your kit (webbing absorbs water but the floor fabric doesn’t). The jaws sit quite close together, so straps are unlikely to fall out when they’re not under tension.
