This drybag project is designed to introduce you to all of the DIY Packraft assembly techniques. It’s intended as a stepping stone for people who want to gain some confidence before assembling a packraft kit, but it can also be a standalone project. By assembling one of these drybags you will develop all the skills needed to make any DIY Packraft.

- 250-280 GSM fabric: 300 grams (10.5 oz)
- 115 GSM fabric: 145 grams (5 oz)
Fabric Options:
- The 115 GSM (grams per square meter) fabric is the ripstop fabric used to make the Ultralight DIY Packraft tubes. 115 GSM is equivalent to 3.4 ounces per square yard (oz). Ultralight fabrics are only available in red, yellow, and blue.
- 250 to 280 GSM fabrics are the standard DIY Packraft tube fabrics. 250 GSM is equivalent to 7.4 oz, and 280 GSM is 8.3 oz. Different batches of fabric have slightly different weights.
Tip: Having drybags of different colors makes gear organization easier! For example, use one color for food and cooking gear, another color for shelter and sleep systems, etc.
