This lightweight spray skirt is designed to keep you dry in moderate whitewater – it is not intended to resist implosion under big waves and waterfalls. It’s designed with safety in mind and will allow you to exit the packraft easily if you capsize.
This skirt fits the DIY Packraft spray decks and may not fit other boats. It’s designed to fit over the back rest while allowing a full range of motion, and is secured by adjustable shock cord tension around the cockpit coaming and the paddler’s chest. You can add shoulder straps to the skirt if you like.
Each kit includes pre-marked waterproof, heat sealable fabric, as well as enough shock cord to create the elastic closures. No additional tools are required for assembly beyond what is needed to construct a DIY Packraft.
