If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you know that I’m constantly working to improve the DIY Packraft designs, instructions, and materials.
Today I’m excited to introduce a new fabric that has been specially made for the DIY Packraft floors. It’s only 450 grams per square meter (13.3 ounces per square yard), but it has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any DIY Packraft fabric yet, so in spite of the reduced weight, there’s no reduction in tear strength – in fact, it’s even stronger than the 560 GSM fabric!
This 450 GSM fabric will soon become the “standard” DIY Packraft floor fabric.
